3 Night Ensenada Cruise | Navigator of the Seas – Royal Caribbean
ROYAL CARIBBEAN NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS 3 NIGHT ENSENADA CRUISE :
If you follow us on Instagram, then you must be knowing that we just came back from our Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas 3 Night Ensenada Cruise. I got so many messages asking to share our experience so what’s better way of expressing myself than writing a blog ? So in this blog, I will be sharing my entire experience with Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas cruise.
Before proceeding, A Big Thank You to Royal Caribbean for hosting us but all the opinions in this blog are my own.
PRE-CRUISE :
- Get your covid test done within 3 days of boarding the ship
- Proof of your vaccination
- Kids 2 – 12 who are not vaccinated need to get a antigen test just before boarding the cruise at the port.
- Download the Royal Caribbean App and fill out the health forms and personal information
- You can also get all the information regarding the cruise and the latest update on vaccines in the app.
- You don’t need a Visa for Mexico in this cruise as long as you have valid USA Visa/stamping to enter back into the USA.
DEPARTURE IN LOS ANGELES :
- Navigator of the seas is docked atย San Pedro World Cruise Terminal ( address :100 Swinford Street ,San Pedro, CA 90731)
- Parking is located right Infront of the port for 20$ per night.
- Un-vaccinated kids must take a on spot antigen test before boarding the cruise.
- You can check-in your luggage while you wait for your kid’s antigen results as it takes 20-30 minutes to arrive.
- Once you get your test results, keep the passports and Negative test results in hand until you step into the cruise.
- Once your security check is done, you will be given your room key (sea pass) and a crew member will guide you to your cruise and explain about the process during emergencies.
- Your sea pass serves as the most important thing during this entire trip, you can reserve activities, do shopping and also used as an identity card when you go in and out of the cruise
STATEROOM :
- For reference, our Stateroom was 3B-8216 Spacious Ocean View Balcony on 8th floor, front of the ship.
- A room with balcony is worth every penny and am sure you will not regret paying those extra $$ for this experience.
- Our state room had a sofa bed and a queen bed which was good enough for our family of four.
- In amenities, there was refrigerator, Television, hair dryer, bath robes, desk, extra pillows and bed covers for the sofa bed, No Iron box or Microwave for obvious reasons.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN APP :
- There is so much to do when on cruise and every activity has a timing which you can only find on the royal caribbean app.
- You can also check the menus and Reserve a table at the specialty restaurants from the app or by your state room’s phone
- You can also build your own itinerary and set a reminder on how you want to plan the activities everyday while onboard.
DINNING :
- The breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served in the main dinning room and is included in your cruise fare
- There’s so many different kinds of food available as a buffet
- All the dinning rooms here in this cruise have beautiful views of the ocean.
- If you want to eat in specialty restaurants, you need to make reservations , some of our favorites are Chops Grille, Izumi for Japanese food, Hooked seafood for all types of sea food.
- There’s different kinds of beverage packages which you can find in app and on website. We got a deluxe beverage package and had unlimited drinks during our entire stay.
ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES AND KIDS :
There’s endless activities for everyone on the cruise and I can say a 3 day sail is definitely not enough to do all but here’s what we did :ย Mini Golf , Pool Play , Water Rides , Childcare , Arcade games , Rock climbing , Volleyball , Basket Ball , Free Food , Play Time at Play area , Indoor shows , Scavenger hunt ,Mind games , Movie time and many more.
ENTERTAINMENT :
For entertainment there are shows like comedy show and Ice skating show which i believe is must to watch and they also play movies at the pool area for both kids and adults.
ENSENADO, MEXICO :
There’s one day stop at Ensenada , Mexico from 8am to 4pm. People who would like to stroll around the area can definitely get down the cruise. Right after you get down, you are guided to a open area where your tour guide (if pre-booked on the cruise) will welcome you. If You haven’t booked any activity then you can simply stroll around the area or visit downtown via Shuttle bus.
We booked a La Bufadora Bus tour which was a 3 & half hour tour. La Bufadora is one of the famous tourists and shopping spots in Ensenada , your bus will take you straight to La Bufadora and drop you there and you will be asked to return to the bus at a given time. There’s blow water hole and scenic views of Pacific Ocean, lots and lots of shopping and authentic Mexican food to try.
It is ok if you don’t want to get down the Cruise. Some of them decide to stay in the cruise to have a pool time with less or no people. I would say, this is the best time to get a spa or massage for a very reasonable price.
FINAL THOUGHTS :
Whether it’s your first time cruising or the 100th time, you will never get bored on a cruise. Infact, I would say, Cruising is the best way of vacationing specially if you are looking for a relaxed and stress free getaway. You don’t need to plan anything or rush to see the attractions , everything is planned in the Royal Caribbean App. I highly recommend Traveling with Navigator of the Seas not just for families but to anyone looking for a Relaxed Luxury Vacation.
